Stoles and More began from a desire to bring something more thoughtful to everyday dressing: beautifully made accessories that combine elegance, quality, culture and longevity at an accessible price point.
From corporate to hand crafted
Originally from India and now based in London for over two decades, I grew up surrounded by colour, textiles, traditional craft and local markets filled with handmade pieces.
Over the years, I collected and was gifted numerous scarves, stoles and accessories from different regions of India, pieces that were not only beautiful, but made to last.
In contrast, I found much of the UK accessories market increasingly dominated by mass-produced products made from low-quality synthetic materials, often lacking individuality, any touch of heritage or connection to the people who made them.
Every collection is personally curated with care for craftsmanship, natural materials and timeless style, pieces intended to be worn and appreciated beyond a single season.
Transitioning from a career in banking of many years, this has given me a new challenge, something with more creativity, connection and meaning in my working day.
Quality and comfort can co-exist
I’ve carefully select scarves and accessories made from natural fibres such as fine wool, merino wool, pashmina, silk and cotton, chosen for their comfort, durability and timeless appeal. Unlike synthetic fabrics that can feel harsh, lose their shape or deteriorate with wear, natural fibres age beautifully and are designed to be enjoyed for years.
It all started with a scarf
Every brand has a beginning, and for Stoles and More, it started with a scarf pictured on the right — a piece that represented everything I loved about Indian craftsmanship: warm beautiful colours, timeless Kani floral design on the border, softest quality wool and the skill of artisans who have preserved these textile traditions for generations.
What began as a simple idea with a friend in my back garden, trying on and photographing some of my favourite pieces, slowly became the foundation of Stoles and More. This stole holds a special place in my journey — it was the very first piece sold at my first ever pop-up, a moment that transformed a personal passion into something I could share with the world.
I started Stoles and More because I genuinely believe in these products. I would never sell something I would not choose, wear or gift myself. My aim is to share the beauty of Indian handcrafted accessories with women in the UK who appreciate that each piece carries a connection to the makers, the materials and the traditions behind it, while remaining effortless, elegant and relevant for today’s wardrobe.
